Reform savings lower than June estimate, but enough to ‘reinvest’ $8.5M in prison alternatives

Louisiana saved $12.2 million in corrections costs since state legislators adopted a comprehensive criminal justice reform package in 2017, according to Gov. John bel Edwards.
